A muse on loneliness

I am saddened
I am lonely

I have too many friends that need my attention
I have too many friends that don't know me
I have too many friends I can't contact
I have too many friends who are out of reach

I love where I am
But if I was home tomorrow
I wouldn't mind

I'd miss you all
And I'd see the rest

But I'm not


And maybe it would do me some good to cut myself off
To distance myself from you all
